This is my Transit MK1 camper van I've aquirred. Don't know anything about it and am looking to find out any information I can on the van. Reg is DDD216K The plates on the passenger doorstep are from Halmo engineering who converted the orginal chassis and the second is from Ken Stephens Caravans. Both companies have since long gone and I'm running out of avenues to explore to find out anything about the van

Yeap its work in progress at the minute. Should keep me busy for a couple of weekends lol! The chassis and inner wings are soild its all just cosmetic rust. Just took out the old seized up york diesel and fitted a later 78hp banana diesel engine and box.
Thanks any info would be great. I've had to remove the interior as its suffering from some typical damp issues around the windows/door/roof/floor and anywhere else there is wood so its just a mess at the minute. But it will be restored. If you have any pictures of a interior that would be brilliant as I want to restore it back to as near as standard as possible.
I do have photos of the inside. There what I have collected off ebay not the best but you will get the idear. Should have them for you next week when I am at home.
i was told it was a cotswold camper but there was nothing to say on the vehicle. Its got a concord sticker on the badge aswell. Previous owner told me it was one of only five ever built and its been on Heartbeat (ITV Program) but I've no firm evidence to confirm any of it.
i must admit it does look the same, although mine's not quite as good lol! But i'm grateful for any leads/pictures of them. This one of mine is a long wheel base, must be knocking on 20ft in lenght. It just fits in the garage
