diesel fuel tank breather pipe question...

Hi all.
It's that time again... the dreaded MOT is fast approaching
So, as you'd expect, I've been under my van with the welder doing a bit of fixin'
Whilst under there I have noticed the fuel tank breather pipe is split and needs replacing. It is some kind of very hard plastic pipe. The question is... do I need the same hard pipe to replace it with or will any flexible fuel pipe do?

I would think any pipe would do just run it the same way as the original.
