MOT AAAARGH

Postby chrisvmax » Mon Nov 17, 2008 2:02 pm

Hi Guys 'n' Gals,
After spending almost every evening working on the van for the last 3 weeks, I took it for its MOT on Friday.
All my welding was passed but it failed on nearside rear brake not working properly.

It's only ever failed on welding in the past!

So I'm on the lookout for rear wheel cylinder, I've been to the motor factors and they want to know what model the van is ie: Transit 80, 100,160 etc.

I've got no idea which one it is, can anybody help me please?

Cheers,
Chris

But to be sure you can check your VIN plate.

Cheers for the replies, I've ordered one from the local motor factors, it should be in tomorrow :D
So... another night under the van coming up then :(

Still. Hopefully it'll pass it's test this time.

Oh, and did you know (you probably did) that when (if) your van fails it's MOT and if it then fails it's retest, you can't have another retest. You have to do a full MOT all over again!!

Fingers crossed then!

Regards,
Chris
