couple of things i need to clarify on my mk2 restoration

1, was the area around the windscreen painted a matt black or in the same grey as the dash? and does anyone know the paint code or a similar colour.

2, where did the rear number plate go, as mine is a cab and chassis did it go under the lights on the left or right hand side.
