5 speed box advice please

sorry 2 b a pain! but i keep looking on this site and i think its easeir to ask all u pro,s . iv got a mk2 ci campervan 2ltr pinto 4 speed box. prob/advice i want a 5 speed box wich fits and what other parts i need. only 2 seets in cab. id rather the gear stick to stay in same place if poss. many thanks. if it looks like it belongs in a scrape yard i own it ha ha

what you need is an MT75 from a mk3/4 pinto transit complete with crossmember, flywheel and adapter plate :D

you dont get any more power of mph - just the engine doesnt rev its nuts off at 70mph :D

will it b able 2 do that sort of speed? ithought it would only do bout 50 because its carry a shed on its back

if it can only do 50 now it wont do any more with a 5 speed box :(

do you know the ratio of your back axle :?:

how does the van accelerate compaired to other vans - it sounds like your problem is an underpowered engine rather than the gearing :)

i havnt driven her yet just thought it would only do 50ish i saved the old girl from the scrapy.

if its eaier to leave the box in place get it done with the 4 speed and see how it is :) - you might find it's ok - if you drive it and it feels like it needs another gear then go for an MT75 :D
