New (to me) mk2 transit

Postby Tidy Tom » Tue Jan 27, 2009 7:48 pm

Hi all,
I've recently bought this van:
Image
It's a County 4x4 with a 2.5 diesel in it. I've not quite got to grips with it yet!
I'm sure it's not the only thing missing, but the catch on the boot lid isn't there - it's got a hatch-back type door. Does anyone know where I could get one of these from? Are they the same as on other Ford vehicles?
The other thing - it's currently stored 40 miles away from me where it's having some welding done - does anyone know the inside dimensions of the back of one of these? I'm trying to plan what I can fit in it but won't be going over to see it for a few weeks.
Thanks for any help,
Tom.

I have a sneaking feeling that this handle is the same as mk3/4/5 cortina estates also mk1/2 escort estates, may not help much but it was in my memory bank and had to come out :?

Thanks everyone - I'll have to get down the scrappy and see if I can find any old cortinas! At least I know what it's meant to look like now - thanks for putting that picture of your van on Vannut.
