MK2 or MK3?

Postby Muttley » Mon Feb 09, 2009 9:37 pm

The front axle on my funny old mk2 crewcab has an antiroll bar and vented discs. Does this mean its a MK3 axle? I dont think mk2's had vented discs :? I need to o/haul this axle and so need to know what model it is :?: Cheers, Andy.

I have a Mk2 axle with vented discs and four-pots under my Mk1. Yes they were fitted to Mk2.
The anti-sway bar is a rare thing though.

Thanks for the input guys. I think the axle is deffo mk2 as lots seem to have vented discs. My mk3 has solid discs :? Looking closely I think the ARB is a later addition so I will be buying mk2 kingpins and discs :D

I've got vented discs on my Mk2 ambulance, not sure about roll bar though.... you'd have thought I'd have known that...... I've spent enough time underneath it

thanks for the thread luke!
So if I leave my five stud hubs and just swap the calipers, they must fit with a bit of grinding, its that it? As I was a bit mislead when pcd 's and numbres came in
