Does any one know if the chassis legs and crossmember on MK1 transists are the same as on MK2

I have never compared the two, but Ford Being Ford I am also 99% sure that they are. Ford just are too tight to design a completely new chassis for the two. I could be wrong, but my theory is that the two transits are the same from the bulkhead back, save for a few cosmetic differences like door handles.

BTW, welcome Wayne, got this clue from your ID, have you got a Mk1 luton then?

it depends how far back you go, i can't fully confirm that the step the crossmember blots to is the same dimensions on a mk 1 as 2

and i am fairly sure the rear spring hangers have different box section fittings around them

Yes!! the mk1 and mk2 have a different bush in the spring hanger, The mk2 is bigger!!! but its interchangable!! :D
