Mark 2 dual wheel axle for Transit in Tasmania, Australia

Hi, everybody.

I live in Tasmania, Australia, I own a 1974 Mark 1 dual rear wheel Ford Transit which has already been upgraded with a disc brakes front axle out of a 1982 Mark 2 Transit and since I'm having brake, diff whine and leaking troubles with the existing rear axle I now feel it's the ideal time to upgrade the rear axle as well to the Mark 2 standard or better.

The Mark 2 rear brakes are wider and better, I understand.

At some point in its conversion to a camper a few years ago I removed the "slipper" rear springs and fitted rear shackles and mounted new style springs under the axle, after repositioning the spring saddles under the axle, but does anybody know of anything else I should be aware of?

The next problem is finding a complete Mark 2 or any other newer rear axle that will fit; does anybody know where in Australia I could get one either fully reconditioned or in a usable condition?
