HELP... Rear Spring Bushes ~ WHERE FROM ?

Postby tranorak » Sat Mar 04, 2006 3:37 pm

My '68 SWB Transit just Failed the MOT :( on excessive movement in the rear of rear spring bushes. Local factor sold me a new pair but they're loads too big and for a Mk3. Nothing listed in any books for Mk2 let alone an early Mk1. Its a 5 leaf spring where the leafs taper very thin at the ends. So anyone got any bushes or know WHERE can I get new ones?? ...Help :(

Thanks for the advice folks. In the end I wandered into my Local Ford place, well actually the Ford place is now somewhere else but I wandered into the Old Ford place which is now Iveco Trucks and the parts bloke said nothing listed on the computer, not even Mk2 then he admitted he could remember the number from years ago as he sold thousands, tapped it in and they had them on the shelf waiting for me £2 each. :D :D just rubber bushes and all the same till late Mk2's got a modern fangled metal sleeved version. So fitted that lot and today I have a new MOT and a big grin. 1968 Bread Van hits the street

Nice One!
Even if you don't need it, grab it.
The minute you do need it, it'll be gone.
