pinto into mk1, is bullnose needed?

is it possible to swap a pinto from a mk2 into a mk1 non bullnose. looks tight for space.

hi if its got a bull nose it will fit, i have done them before, this was a popular conversion when 2.4 yorks where unfavourable (sh*t), if its got a diesel box already in it you only need to change the bell housing for the petrol one that goes with the backplated engine, and it will sit straight on the engine mounts. use the petrol radiator.

it'll fit with a flat front but it's a very tight squeeze madmark did it on his and so did midniteclassix - there are some pics on here :D

pinto,s are rubbish :roll: :roll: you would be better of fitting a v6 engine ,or a di diesel :wink:

cheers guys, we soon have a mk1 chassis and cab to build into a recovery. just picked up a complete running mk2 horse lorry with small mileage but well rusty. plan is to use the pinto running gear in the mk1.

most reason we favour the pinto is theyre so much quieter than a di.

anyone have a link to pics?
