Epidemic of MK3's

Driving out of Southend on Sea last week, when I spotted a MK3 Dormer coming the other way, with a brightly coloured paint job, eco-warriors are back in town I thought and think no more of it... Just as pull up at the lights, not a mile down the road, a pale blue petrol MK3 pickup pulls up next to me and we have a quick conversation through the window... Then not 10 minutes later, just as i turn into my road, whats parked up, a red MK3 swb van with 2 roofers in it eating their sandwiches, sadly a bit beaten up, but still making a living...

Now theres me saying they are getting rare! 3 in one day

Now it doesn't stop there, oh no! Had to follow my daughter to garage on Friday morning, pulls in to their yard and... MK3 swb camper in for welding. Driving home my daughter she spots a garage sale "quick stop here Dad" and parked in the front garden is another MK3 swb camper almost identical as the one Ive just seen Ole fart has a look in my van, I look in his camper blah blah blah, 30 minutes later, off driving again. Meet up with Captain Hook later in the day and hook up with a recovery driver to go and collect a MK4 from Southend, Eugine Speed's as it happens and whats he driving a MK3 lwb County.... Another 3 vans in one day, now I'm getting a feeling of 'da ja vue' or something ground hog!!!

Now I'm trying to keep this story short and the day isn't over yet!!!
Here comes number 4 of the day, on the way home from Captain Hooks, I'm driving through Rayleigh and parked outside the local tree surgeons place is a MK3 County pickup along with a MK4, a MK5 and MK6, I even tried to take a picture but failed, but I'm going to get the wife to take some as we pass next time.
