Locking nuts for track rod ends lost

Bought a reconditioned power steering rack but (obviously) they don't come with locking nuts. Mine got scrapped with the old power steering rack! Nuts I have in my store of that diameter are too course a thread.
Does anyone know what thread they are or have some laying around on something?
There is no old school nut n bolt shops in my area.
All help and advice gratefully received.

Thanks for the above, I'll get hold of some M16 fine thread or failing that the eBay ones.

It would be a wise idea just to quickly measure it yourself too

Check if your track rod ends are drilled to take a castle nut and split pin like this
