The one one the van started acting like a rev counter and then packed in.
Need to diagnose the problem over the weekend.
Could be wiring. Could be cluster .

And
Late mk5 early mk6 cluster from what I've been lead to believe Ned.
I had blood coming from every orifice after sustained motorway speeds in a mk5.
I'm going to poo sideways tomorrow.

Post a pic of your Speedo as I’ve got the old one from my mk6 with rev counter on it so if it’s the same it could be yours, the fuel gauge was altered so when it shows empty it had 1/4 of a tank if that makes sense, it was working perfectly when removed.
So what did you do this afternoon thenChug wrote:I took the smallest drill I have and some different shaped little grinding stones and managed to get all but one or two of the last little bits of weld ground down and then smothed some rough bits with filler, then primed it all and slapped some tetroseal over it, then made a start bolting all the suspension bits back on, got one wishbone part way in then realised I'd got those feckin boxy bits that bolt to the spring hangers on the wrong sides, so had to swap them over! tried to take some more pics but the battery was too low, hoping to get it back down on it's wheels tomorrow though!
