Patience and hard work make success.
Installing a rear axle with a gear ratio of 3.31 was my mistake - it became more difficult to ride, there was no pleasure from acceleration and fuel consumption increased a lot.
I will return the old axle.

Today, at the car market, I handed over to the seller the rear shock absorbers for the MK7, which I bought more than six months ago and received about $ 55 for them.
I also traded in a MK3 handbrake cable for an MK7 cable.
I will make a handbrake on my rear axle from MK7.
While I refrain from returning the old axis, I'm getting used to the new one.
On July 28, the Russians made a big blow to Ukraine, the subway was not working in Kyiv. I went to the garage to get my Transit and found that the rear window behind the sliding door was broken.
The car was parked near the garage.
I went to work on Transit, and on July 29 a neighbor called and said that he had accidentally broken a window, that he had already ordered glass for disassembly.
Yesterday I came to the garage to install the resulting glass, but it turned out to be on the left side.
I cut the glass out of plexiglass and pasted it into the body.
I asked my neighbor to order another glass, I will pay for it.
While the car was without glass, the thief got into the car and stole a rolling hydraulic jack, yesterday I bought a new one.

Yesterday I received two cables for the handbrake, today I decided to put it at work.
I have such a job that if there is something to do, then you need to do it quickly, or be on duty in anticipation of urgent work.
Therefore, sometimes you can take care of the car.
New cables came up in length, approached the axle without problems.
I made a traverse for connecting with a rod from a lever, but when I began to unwind the adjusting lanyard, a piece with a left-hand thread broke off.
It was not possible to remove the part of the left thread connecting to the handbrake lever - everything was very rusty.
I bought a portable gas burner, tomorrow I will heat it up and knock out the remaining draft, and then I will weld it into one.
A bad head does not give rest to the hands.

Today I red-hot rusted parts with a torch, poured water on them and managed to separate the parts. After I welded the broken threads with semi-automatic welding - I keep my semi-automatic welding and manual arc welding at work. Then he quickly set the traction and adjusted the handbrake. Now I can safely drive - my car has working brakes!
