2.5 Di 70ps vs 80ps

Postby Transit_Nugget1989 » Thu Jun 01, 2023 9:47 am

Hi, what is difference between 2.5 Di 51kw and 59 kw non turbo motors. I would like to upgrade my 51kw to 59 kw. Thanks.

I would think it’s probably injectors and adjust the pump settings I think I’ve read somewhere that the banana manifold is to improve the torque

80ps is the earlier version. It was non banana inlet manifold and had a two into one exhaust.
70ps is the later non banana. If I remember correctly it was all about better emissions and bugger the performance. Was the first with an egr I think.
They probably had different injectors and minor pump differences.
I've driven both and there isn't much difference. You'd probably get the same performance if you wound the pump up a bit on a 70ps
