Good morning,
We have a camper based ons Ford transit 2.5 td from 1998. The Lucas epic fuelpump has been repaired by a local workshop (we are on our way now) and the seals and the main bearing has been replaced (completely worn out and a lot of iron on the speed Hall effect sensor). Now everything has been build back but,
- The engine is starting but stopping immediately
- When the plunger for the stop solenoid is out the engine runs but very irregular and with high revs.
When the mechanic reconstructed the main shaft he didn't remember the position of the blades on the main shaft and put the short blade in line with the holes on the shaft. Now I start wondering if this was right.
Does anybody now which positions these blades should have (one of them is shorter) to give the "Hall effect" sensor the correct reading?
Any help is welcome.
