NO INDICATORS NO HAZARDS MK5 smiley 1997 HELP!!

NO INDICATORS NO HAZARDS mk 5 smiley
checked fuses F8 and F14 (indicators and hazards)
put in new flasher relay > no change
checked all indicator bulbs are working, checked their plugs,energised them,sanded them with emery paper, sprayed brakeclean into pins > NO change

check voltage to flash relay (12V input )when indicator left or right and ignition on> NO volts

All other lights..low beam main beam .high beam, reverse,brake lights work normally

I have a page which shows that smiley has 25 EARTHS for its electrical system

has anyone had a similar problem and how was it fixed?

it has no salt corrosion but it has been sitting under a covered roof for about 2yrs.

Now it got a new engine and gearbox and this needs to be sorted
