ANYONE JUST DONE THIS JOB AND where do we get one from??

Any motor factor will supply one.

I've had mine off many times. Just make sure the cover isn't domed around the bolt holes from overtorquing, and do the bolts to spec, starting in the middle and working out in a spiral.

where does we get the gasket from. surely its not red silicon rtv type...got any brands that are good on ebay or like?

THKS minoMATT I APPRECIATE THE INFO, I think the gaskets are the same from 1994-2000.

mines a 1999 engine transplant from a ldv convoy. I see they all have nine holes .

BGA or british gasket company looks like cork???

There are cork ones (mk3) or rubber around a steel inner (91 onwards) either are good.

the one in the picture is the later reusable one, if a cork one has been used it can bend the cover because the bolts are 6mm against the early 8mm ones & trying to revert to the one in the later one can cause oil leak Best to replace like for like
