Ford Transit

Postby sparky72 » Wed May 15, 2024 9:28 am

Hello
i have a ford transit auto sleeper 1998 R Reg the immobiliser has been intermittent but now will not work at all. Its coming up with pats code 32.

i tried several tings like checking for lose connections fuse ect but cant seem to find anyone obvious.

I had an auto engineer booked for 3 weeks but he cancelled on the day and has not returned my message or call, so I'm assuming he never wanted the job in the first place or didn't know how to fix it.

is there anyone in the Herefordshire/Gloucestershire area who would like to come and look at it for me please.

As Al Says....

I bet its a TD?? If it is - its probably just a relay (which I keep in stock), but it can also be a failed ECU (I've only seen that twice, its very unlikely).

Herefordshire/Gloucstershire border area is something I can do

In this particular case no - but it did involve a shiny new ECU. One of the very rare cases where its needed
