Bosch pump conversion - accelerator pedal

Postby jvs197 » Thu Jul 18, 2024 2:24 pm

I have a Bosch pump and accelerator pedal and cable to do the conversion from EPIC Lucas pump. What I thought would be the easiest part is proving to be the hardest! The pedal base is held on by 3 studs with nuts on the bulkhead in the engine compartment. The BIG problem is how to get to them and remove the nuts. The link from steering column to rack and the (rigid) aircon pipes make access with a spanner to the nuts is almost impossible! Removing the brake servo would give me access - but that's the last thing I want to do!
Any nifty suggestions from anyone?

I've never had an issue getting to the nuts - so not sure what they issue is? Although they can be fiddly
