Mk3 1989 Petrol 2.0 OHC Differential 2 wheels per side

Postby Mauritx » Mon Aug 05, 2024 2:53 pm

Is there any part number or ref number to use, (or replacement from another Ford pick up truck perhaps) if i want to buy a complete new one differential to my transit MK3 1989 Petrol.

I do have some weird sound but only for a short period of time at low speeds 5km/h than then disappears at 20km/h
or when I am driving 90km/h and I release the gas pedal and the van is rolling. Can it be the differential?

I do believe that when the differential is broken that the sound will comes all the time not matters if you accelerate or not.

Thanks in advance.

Yes the noise can come and go when letting off and putting on the power on axles also when cornering the wheel bearings can make a noise as the bearings load up on one side with the transfer of weight.
