Please forgive me if this has already been discussed, I did search, like a lot for the particular issue I am facing.
So on to the problem
Van is a '00, last of the mk5s, with the 2.0 8v engine.
Recently I hady intake blown, coolant temp sensor flew out along with all the fluid. It happened on the motorway so it took some time to realize it and unf it overheated and blew the gasket etc.
I had the cylinder head refurbished, new gaskets etc, I even got an alloy convertion for the intake (now the part that handles coolant is alloy to avoid the same problem again)
I also changed sparkplugs and leads, coolant sensor and crankshaft sensor while I was at it.
The car now idles perfectly and pulls great but only until it gets up to running temp.
Once hot idle is still fine but revving up to 2K is rough with missfires. After that it kinda works ok.
I have started with some basic diagnostics (checking the wires for continuities and cleaning plugs etc) but up to now I have No clue on the problem.
As I understand it once the car gets hot and the cold start sensor sends the signal fuel ratio gets messed up.
Really desperate for some help or plain sharing any relevant info so i can probably pin point the problem.
Thanks for reading so far!
