MK5 Intake Manifold

Postby savbera » Fri Oct 25, 2024 7:15 am

Hi guys,
I have a question I can't find a google answer to, so I am writing here.. :)
I have a 1998 Ford Transit with 2.0l Petrol DOHC engine with a cracked manifold which is kind of impossible to get as a new part so I am looking at used ones...
Searching by my vans VIN number the right fit for serial number would be 95WF9424AE, which I get nowhere, I have found a used one with a serial number 95WF9424AD (https://shopcar.parts/en/autopart/27984 ... t-manifold)) from a Ford Transit 1999 2.0L.
I have googled what is the interpretation of the coded and it says that the last The Suffix denotes the change level – C5ZZ5560D
A = 1st change level
B = 2nd change level
C = 3rd change level
Do you guys think this manifold could fit my van or not? Had anyone had a similar experience? Any other suggestions?
Thank you so much and wish you all a good day :D

Dont know all about that ..i would search with the 7 digit part number

which according tp here
https://www.catcar.info/ford/?lang=en&l ... MCsyNjQ%3D

is 6600226

your first number 95WF9424AE corresponds to "1090369"

and also ..here gives an alternative list of 7 digit part numbers...press on the magnifying glass to see each full part number

https://ford.7zap.com/en/transport/93/n ... 022/65148/

You also have to double check things ..people who advertise these things often get it wrong.

If you get nowhere --- i recon a product called upol tiger seal would seal it up

all the best.mark

95 - First Used in 1995 MY
WF - First Vehicle Line used on (in this case its a car)
9424 - Item type (Inlet Manifold)
A - Variant A (So presumably a plain inlet, an LPG one might be variant B as it would have space for LPG injectors ec)
D - 4th iteration of the variant. Previous and subsequent iterations should all be interchangeable. If not the 95WF should have been updated

So a 95WF9424AD *should* be interchangeable with a 95WF9424AE
Lucas Laser 2000 & IDS
95 M Prototype/Mule DRW 100PS Highcube
95 N Hallmark (white)
96 P 150 TD 100PS LWB Hi-Top
96 P Autosleeper Duetto
2 x 2006 Mk7s
