Water hoses

Postby FDN850HU » Mon Apr 14, 2025 6:19 pm

Dear users, i am wondering how difficult is to replace the hose that goes to the cabin heater alongside the rocker cover, how deep is the radiator itself? Although it functions well, it might worth replacing that too not only the hoses in and out.of it? I replaced the other hoses before around the engine, so these 2 old ones still there. Its a 96 2.5di bus, TIA!

The metal pipes going through the bulkhead at the back of the engine are from/part of the heater matrix/radiator so be careful with them, you can only replace them by removing the matrix, the rubber pipe by the rocker cover is easy get and to replace, and whilst you have the pipe off run a hosepipe through the matrix in reverse flow and forward flow a few times until it runs clean to flush it out.
