Hi , hope someone can help. 3 weeks ago engine turned over nicely but no response from throttle and red engine management light on, after leaving for 15 mins turned on again and throttle responded and drove fine since. Until today when turned on engine idling fine but no throttle response and engine light on however if turn i turn engine on with throttle depressed as you turn the key the throttle continues to respond until released and then response stops fully and won't respond again when throttle pedal depressed again.
Had similar problem 18months ago and no response at all from pedal , replaced with second hand throttle pedal and had been fine up until now. It is a 1998 ford duetto TD, manual, throttle pedal has a ? Electric plug connector behind the pedal .
Does anyone have advice what the problem may be .
Thank you Dawn
