Iveco daily 16" wheel conversion

Hi all, ive read a few posts saying 2000 iveco daily 16" wheels with stud pattern 6x170 will fit mk3 transit lwb twin wheel. Im really keen to try this. But how is everyone getting around the lack of ball taper on these wheels. It looks like they are hub centric rather than lug centric. Are people adding a ball taper or just leaving them as is and jamming the nuts on?
