Refill automatic transmission fluid Transit 2.5D 1991

Due to a leak at the tailpiece of my automatic transmission, I have the feeling that there is far too little or perhaps no oil left in the gearbox... I would like to have a specialist look at it, but I would like to top it up a bit before I make the trip there...

I have already been looking for a dipstick and/or filler opening, but I cannot find one. I also just can't figure out what kind of gearbox it is. I don't see a plate or a number or anything like that anywhere. There is a number on the tailpiece, though: P950T 7A040 AAR with R3T9A. 6575 underneath.

So it is a a4ld? Pretty important to know the exact type because i need to refill with right atf.

well its kind of hard

see yours is a 91 right on the change over date

the mk4s had a4lds and c3's 1985 - 91

the mk5s had just a4lds 1991-94

the onus is in your hands to look at pics and work out what it is.
