MK 5 lost key - best way to resolve?

Hi all,

I have a Mk 5 transit which I have not used in years and has been sitting in storage, BUT i am going to get her back on the road, however god knows where I have placed the key.

The good news is that the van is open so I can access inside, what is the best solution here please?

The mk 5 should have a chipped immobiliser key it may be worth trying a local auto locksmith

Is it a turbocharged engine?

you can get a lock decoder , you insert it and twiddle some bits and it tells you the code to get a new one cut, a propper car locksmith will have one (see link below), that solve the key but imob ?
