new transit owner cold start problem

hey guys i c u have a few probs with cold starting. me too. i have a 1994 2.5 lwb. it would not start so called the RAC. they thought the battery may be too small at 590. I went to a local fitter and he said u cant get a 700a which is wot RAC reccommended. He also said a 610 would be fine. Please help. What amp should i use and is it just the amps to think about. I know u prob get this a lot but i am new to this and really love my transit. thanx guys
