not done it, but the top hinges have a raised part on the side panels - this would need cutting off to look right!! :D

MY MATE FITTED ONE TO MY OLD F REG S.H.T AND IT WAS FINE,ALL I DID WAS FIND A BREAKERS WITH ONE IN AND TOOK THE DOOR,GAS RAMS AND FIXING BOLTS THE LOCK CATCH PLATE AND CUT THE ROOF WHERE THE HINGES ARE(THE WHOLE BIT FROM LEFT 2 RIGHT) AND HE WELDED IT IN AND PLATED AND FILLED ABOVE THE DOOR,I WOULDNT MIND FINDING ANOTHER ONE FOR MY PRESENT VAN AS THEY LOOK SO MUCH BETTER THAN TWIN DOORS

No too sure about the Mk3, but on the Mk2 there is a panel the door mechanism attaches to, and the spring for the door is braced with it. I have seen this conversion on the Mk2 done by taking a slice of roof from the donor, dunno about the Mk3 though.
