Spare vacuum pipe near EGR, or has it fallen off somewhere?

I found a vacuum pipe not connected to anything lying against the manifold behind the EGR valve and was wondering if it should be connected somewhere? It comes from what I assume is the EGR controller (EPIC) which is connected to the EGR by another vacuum pipe, but I cant find anywhere it should go to!
The EGR has only one vacuum line to it, although I heard somewhere on here that there may be two?
Van is 1993 ex-police190TD with EPIC, any help welcome!

post a piccy mate and i will tell you as i had this prob when we got our blue van it was case of trial and error as the ford garage didnt have any info on this

In that area there should be a few items which have rubber pipes

EGR valve .....has a single small bore pipe

Throttle housing butterfly valve......has a single small bore pipe

Throttle housing boost pressure port.......has a single slightly larger bore pipe

The air box also has a rubber pipe on the bottom of it to supply filtered air to the EGR vacuum flow control valve...on your pre smiley vehicle the pipe is underneath the airbox and can be hard to spot where it locates.

up towards the top of the bulkhead where the pipes head off to, you'll find the egr flow controller and the boost sensor
