Whilst it is nice to have the proper jack, I do have one stored where it should be together with the strap. I would never use the jack supplied, those kind of jacks are make do at the best of times on cars, with the wieght of a Transit on it...and most times when you need the jack you WILL have some kind of load onboard I wouldn't feel safe. I use a trollyjack, they are cheap enough these days and the ones that come in the plastic case store very nicely in the side loading door step, they won't move about too much if you also have a bottle of water stored there too after all you never know when you will need water etc on the road. but of course use a bungy strap and you can find another storage place if need be. I do also carry wheel chocks to be double safe but then some people only carry the bare minimum or have spares at home...no good there, MrMPuk had a cambelt tensioner go last week I think it was and he had it with him, sensible. I carry water, oil, fuses, cable ties and hose clips, hose repair tape and the stuff I mentioned above as you cannot carry too many spares and get you home stuff.
