Broken rod on fuel pump...

Looking at my fuel pump, I notice there is a rod broken off its fixing point. Any ideas anyone? Van runs fine!

if i remember right its only links to the cold start mechanism, should be a ball where the right arrow is to push onto

ah so thats why my van wont tickover when its cold

the cable in the pic, make sure its not slack when its hot, it should pull on when the engine is cold

certainly is the cold start thingy bob. scrappers i think for that part that's missing the ball. Not sure if you can get the individual parts for the pump, but i will stand to be corrected by someone

I see! no worries as the van doesnt seem to need it.. starts fine no matter what the weather!
