Mk3 twin wheel axle, how hard to change the front diff bearing or should i just change the compleat axle (if and when i find one) ?

The front diff bearing and race can't be replaced with the diff and pinion still in the axle, if that needs to come out you might as well overhaul the complete set.

may as well change the compleate axle then, the oil seals have gone on one side and the back plate is leaking as well
