2 or 3 turns! There's people here who are grateful if it starts after 2 or 3 dozen turns!

Easiest way for me is the SLIGHTEST whiff of easystart straight into the inlet, leave the clip off so the hose will come off easily.

Do this before trying to start and flattening the battery, i.e. if there's ice on the windscreen.

As said, fresh oil helps, as does the big starter, full throttle, oh and a good battery!

keep an eye on the battery, the di`s need to turn over rapid, even a small reduction from the battery power will slow things down, its not cold down here yet but my battery is going on charge next week,

Might be worth checking for diesel leaks from the pump. I know my Di is older (1987) but when the pump solenoid was leaking it took longer to start. Starts on first turn since I replaced the solenoid and stopped the leak.

Cheers,
Chris
