fuel gauge

any idea why my fuel gauge not registering properly when i put ten pound in ,takes ages to go up .today i put 44 pound in went for a drive about half an hour it still not moved would be gratefull any help

The gauge should stay at the level it was showing when the ignition was on when turned off.

were would i get a sender unit from main dealer if its that .

Have you had the dash out recently?
Mine stopped working after I took the dash out,haven't got round to pulling the dash out to check it yet but will keep you posted on what I find,dodgy connection most prob.
