very cold this morning....

Postby firestorm » Mon Jan 04, 2010 10:07 am

so cold my starter motor decided it would go up in a ball of smoke !!!!!!!

question is, what bolts hold it in as i'm at work, i know you got 2 13's for live wire and solind etc. but is it just 2 19's that hold it into the gearbox casing?

and how long does it take to change one could i do it in a hour "going to get keen and do it at lunch" !!!

there are 3 bolts holding the starter to the gearbox, the 1 bolt holding the live on and the solenoid wire...

easily doable in an hour - but the bolt head sizes may not be standard as ford use small heads (13mm)

Very hard to tell without van and engine details.

Fairly easy to do.

Bolts are whatever are on your van  A good socket set will have all needed tools in.
