Engine Management Light keeps coming on

Postby exriotvan » Wed Jan 20, 2010 12:40 am

I have a MK5 2000 Transit 2.5 td Epic, whilst driving to birmingham from northampton last week my engine management light came on and i went into limp mode, tried turning of the ignition and turning it back on but the light was still on, carried on driving to destination for another 30 miles, turned ignition off and left for about 20 mins got back in and the light wasn't on.
Drove home fine with no problems, speed back to normal and no light. Went to go to poole today and got about 20 miles from the house and the light came on, completely shut of the engine until i restarted it, went into limp mode, drove for about 25 miles back home, stopped went to go out a little while ago and the light had gone out. I dont know whats wrong with it?

Had a new cambelt changed about 6 months ago, had no problem until now
thanks in advance
