Hi folks lookink for a bit of advice :( :( :(
I got home from work tonight and fell out with the neighbours fecking idiot parked his car 6ft from his house wall making it a tight turn for me old tranny however i got stuck in a rut of ice could not shift it so jumped out slammed the door went to get a tow of the wife :oops: :oops: :oops:
When finnally parked up my drivers side window would not go up :evil: :evil:
I have stripped it down and tryed the motor when disconnected from the window mechanism and it goes down ok but not up is my motor jeegared ???
if so would a motor off another ford fit it ???
or does the dittery old c#@ts car get twated next time

if it goes 1 way no real reason not to go the other way
how are you testing it

If your window goes down but not up just as an emergency measure to secure your van swap the wires to the motor around, this reverses the polarity and should make the window go back up again

i took the motor off the van pluged the wires back in and tried it that way

ok so prob the switch then swap the wites over so posotive is neg and so neg is pos
and it will go up not down
or swap the switches from the otherside
i am sure you will find out that it is the switch tho

are tranny leccy windows the same as the ford cars ie 3 wires to the motor ? if so you have to swop the right 2 over to get it to go up

Only 2 wires to the motor in transits

folks thanks for the info i swaped the drivers window switch with passenger switch and hey presto my window goes up and down just cant get passenger window up from drivers consol now so i have ordered a replacement
