Smokey Cab...

Driving up the road this morning, heater on full (doesn't work on 1 or 2, never has done), it came over all hazy and around 5 mins later I smelt electric. I though it was my radio (RDS 6000 I fitted yesterday) so switched it off. No change, started to worry so pulled over to notice the fan wasn't working and smoke was coming out of the switch!!! :shock:

Bugger - :twisted: I need a new switch I am guessing :?: :!:

Resistor has failed which is why you've lost speeds 1 and 2, the extra load melts the plug on the back of the switch. Have a search, quite common.

You will need the resistor as well and probably a section of loom to go onto the switch.

I've got the resistor and cable from a scrappy. Tested with a meter and all works fine ;-)
