If you have at least one out (which you say) then then you may be able to use the caliper by pivoting it to help release the other bolt

Hi

ive just had the same thing! last week.

the kind person that owned the van before me had rounded the head off the top bolt

i spent days trying to undo it in the end i took it to a friend who has a garage and it took

him 2 days to get it off in the end he grinded the head of the top bolt slid the caliper out

then put the caliper in a vice and used mole grips to undo the remains of the bolt

and the refitted it with a new bolt.

mechanic sure had a mouth full of F words about the van

but its amazing how quiet the van is now.

If you have access to heat ie gas axe heat usualy helps or if the nuts been rounded off weld another nut to the one thats nackered the heat of welding will usually be enough to release it this works when the nuts ok just replace the bolt
