Hi all, I have a 1990 2.0lt pinto Dormobile with the mt75 gearbox. When I depress the clutch i get a slight crunch / grating sound from the gearbox/clutch. It does not effect the clutch and changing gear, it only happens with the pedal depressed, so as soon as I change gear it goes away. Could this be the release bearing vibrating?
I checked the cable adjuster by the haynes method of holding the pedal up and tugging on the outer cable from the engine side of the bulkhead, this moves as specified, but when I first depress the clutch afetr this operation the rachet on the pedal has to click all the way around, or what sounds like all the way.....its certainly a quite few clicks!
I have read elsewhere that if the auto adjuster goes, then most folks change it for a manual adjuster, is this an easy changeover and does anyone know where to get one from?
Could it be worth also trying a new cable?
Any help would be appreciatted, before I spend out on a new clutch kit etc etc
Cheers
Neil
