Postby vana mana » Fri Feb 26, 2010 12:46 pm

Ok folks..i have been out and removed my rotten battery tray..and yes underneath it was severe pitting/rot..i know a few of you folk have had similar problems ..
i have tried looking at some of the threads in search..for that perticular area but dont seem to find too much..lots of other bits..can anyone post pics or links direct to this topic...and how did you fix your area?..plate straight over or inlay plate & seam weld slowly ?..

All help always appreciated ..
Thanks

I just did this area on the nearside.I cut the rusty area out and welded a plate on top. I didn't bother inlaying it as I'm gonna put a battery tray on top and it'll never be seen! Don't have any pics thought cameras busted.
