Just had a thought for the awkward top caliper bolt.
Once you get it off would it be easier to use an allen head bolt in its place assuming you could get one in the right size?

Two problems: Bolt needs to be of equivalent tensile rating to the original. Correct torque needs to be applied. Don't want to risk the caliper breaking loose. John G
