Heater Blower removal.

Hi Folks,

Well I've searched the forum for an answer but I can only find stuff relating to the MK5.

The blowers packed up on my 88 MK3, switch seems in good nick so I just have a couple of questions.

1) do i have to remove the whole dash to get at the blower assembly? (it's way too big to come out the stereo hole)

2) is there a resistor pack related to the blower somewhere in the engine bay?

That's a MK5

The MK3 dash is completely different

Hmm, I have 1995 Tranzit, it worked with me, the only problem was vent hoses, they are tough.

Well I got the new blower fitted, in answer to my own questions, Yes you do have to remove the whole dash to get at it (on my MKIII this wasnt too much hassle tbh) , but no you dont have to remove the whole air system, you can extract the blower in situ. ie. you dont need to drain the coolant or unattach any hoses in the engine bay.

and, Yes there is a resistor pack located by the nearside headlight in the engine bay.
