MK5 Heater

Postby yrocker » Sun Mar 14, 2010 12:25 pm

Just to check that I am correct in my thinking.

My heater fan does not run, even on position 3.
I have checked with a meter and I have 12volts at the fan connector.
Does this point to a knackered fan?

Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks for that.

Do I remove it towards the drivers side?

its sort of a bayonnet fit, there is a little tag at about 4 oclock (bulkhead side) that you pull back and twist the motor out.

You can then manouver it out of the radio slot (if you have the large radio, otherwise you have to take the black plastic off...
