Rear Load light won't work?

Hi, just bought a 1996 (N)Transit SWB 80, cracking van but the rear load light won't turn on?
The bulbs look fine, are these fused? And if so what number fuse is it?

Have you first tried the switch on the dash, under the right hand vent

Fuse will be the same as that of the radio, No. 11 @ 10 amps

Otherwise it would be a poor earth The earth on the loading area lamp is the pin and NOT the side of the bulb/s You can run a jumper wire to check

Thanks for the much need reply mate, there is no switch under the the righthand side vent mentioned. I might get another foglight type switch to operate the load light, Would this be hard to wire up and will a relay be needed at all?

You should have at leat 2 swiches there, the one to the left is the rear load light and the one to right is the rear fogs.
Or there is a switch on the actual light in the rear of the van.
If there is no switch there check behind the dsah to see if the wiring is intact and get yourself a switch from the breakers.

All sorted now, bulb holder was corroded.
