I was thinking of getting the body striped and resprayed on my 190 crewcab tipper, but I am having second thoughts as money is abit tight.
I dont think it had been washed for along time and never ever had any polish on it when I bought it, when I first washed it the water was like milk due to the paint washing off, it was looking really dull and poor. Since then some of the paint has bubbled and peeled off the door bottoms and sills, and there are some rust spots on some of the panels.
On tuesday I gave it another good wash as it was really dirty due to abit of hard work and thought I would try some T'cut.
Went and bought a bottle of white T'cut and then went the whole hog and bought an electric buffer, spent a couple of hours and half a bottle of T'cut (it is a crew cab!) and now it looks alot better. Problem is the door bottoms and rust spots now, the door bottoms dont seem rusty its that the paint has come off.
I've used rustolium spray before and been quite impressed by the stuff even though I just sprayed over the rust. I think i'll try to do a decent job of this, but whats the best filler to use? Does anyone have a favouite or are they all as crap as each other?
Any other tips are quite welcome. Im a Groundworker by trade so this is new to me.
