swapping seats on a mk5?

hiya guys, has anyone ever swapped the front seats on a smiley mk5 for other seats eg mondeo or from any other vehicle? i want two single seats in the front but not sure how to go about this? any help appreciated gaz

to fit mondeo seats or any opther seats wich are non transit you need to make up seat base's from box section steel(make sure its strong enough) been done lots on here.done it myself as well.I modded the transit base to fit leather mondeo seats in a mk5 and fitted rover 800 seats in my old mk3 luton van when i had it.. if you wanted you can fit a spring suspension seat (or air seat if you can fit a compressor)from a lorry in as the base and fit your seat of choice to that..
